How to turn a MIDI file into a piano video
A MIDI file stores the notes you played, not a picture of them. To turn one into a video you need software that reads the MIDI and draws it.
Load the MIDI file. Note lengths and sustain pedal are read with it, so a pedalled passage looks the way it was played. Separate tracks stay separate and can be coloured independently.
Choose how the notes look: falling from the top or rising from the bottom, at whatever speed suits the piece, with adjustable shape, width, corner rounding, glow, colour and texture.
Add effects around the keyboard — sabers, particles, glow and bloom — and put your own image or video behind everything as a background layer.
Export at up to 4K 60fps. The render is frame by frame rather than a screen recording, so every frame lands exactly where it should.
A MIDI file is not required: a MIDI keyboard connected over USB drives the same visuals live.
